Important Points about NOW Monitor
1 - This pheromone lure will catch only male NOW moths.
2 - This pheromone lure will not attract and catch female NOW moths.
Please note female NOW moths can fly relatively long distances. It is possible for an already mated NOW female moth to fly into your orchard and infest your nuts or fruit. This pheromone lure and trap will not detect the movement of mated females from adjacent orchards.
3 - This pheromone will catch male NOW moths even after hull split in almonds, walnuts and pistachios.
In nut crops, the smell of the crop after hull split overwhelms the presently used “egg traps” rendering less useful for monitoring purposes. The smell of the crop does not affect the pheromone in NOW Monitor.
